How Clearway Was Formed

The story behind the name and the moment everything became clear

Clearway was not created as a grand plan.

It was formed slowly, through years of working alongside founders, noticing the same patterns, the same pressures and the same moments when a business starts to feel heavier than it should.

Founders often tell me they feel stretched, relied upon for every decision and unsure how to create the space they need to actually lead. I recognised those moments because I had seen them across every role I had ever worked in.

And that is where Clearway began.

A career built on treating every business like my own

For more than twenty years, I worked in leadership roles across financial services, marketing, HR and operations. No matter the company, the size or the industry, I always approached each role as if the business were my own.

I cared about the people.

I cared about the structure.

And I cared about the clarity that helps a business run smoothly.

I naturally became the person leaders turned to when things felt messy or when plans needed turning into rhythm, structure and progress. I enjoyed being the steady partner beside them, helping them move from overwhelmed to organised.

I did it long before Clearway existed.

The moment I realised what founders truly needed

After years of supporting leaders and directors, one thing kept appearing:

Businesses grow, but structure does not grow with them.

That is when the founder becomes the bottleneck.

Confidence dips.

Teams rely too heavily on them.

And the business becomes too noisy to think clearly.

What founders told me they needed was not more information.

They needed:

  • clarity

  • structure

  • calm leadership support

  • someone who could help them see the bigger picture
  • and the rhythm to keep everything moving steadily

Not as an employee.

Not as an operations manager.

But as a partner.

A fractional COO who could step in with experience, calm confidence and a clear, practical way forward.

That was the gap.

And Clearway became the solution.

Why the name Clearway

Choosing the name was simple.

I wanted something that expressed what founders feel when things start to slot into place.

A clear way forward.

Clarity in priorities.

A clear path to progress.

A clear understanding of who owns what.

A clear rhythm for leadership.

A clear mind for the founder.

Clearway is not about perfection or pressure.

It is about creating working environments that feel lighter, calmer and more manageable.

What I wanted Clearway to stand for

From the beginning, Clearway was built on four pillars:

  • Structure – Foundations that create order, steadiness and confidence.

  • Direction – Clarity on what matters and what comes next.

  • Support – A calm partnership that strengthens decision-making.

  • Progress – Sustainable momentum through simple, practical action.

These pillars guide every founder I work with.
